Hi David, I am a former chef and they are similar sopressata is not round but oval type that is similar in taste, there is a version of sweet and sharp, but are not really necessarily a good dry salami Calabrese or what I love Genoa style is the style of Philadelphia, a little strong, but the best for a sandwich if I have a cook, and there were several times and had all the favs local Hoagies, cheese and meat, scapple and local drinks.
Most grocery stores grocery can be a good control and to see, you will be satisfied by them.
