Rio is actually a decent accommodation. But like everywhere in Las Vegas, has its pros and cons ...
Pros ...
Large rooms - they are a "suite", but in reality are twice as big as the bedroom with sitting area.
Large collection of restaurants - they have everything for a quick on the grill sports a large room upscale.
Nice pool area - you have 5 or 6 pools, 1 with a sandy beach.
Cons ...
Location - The location across the street from the other strip casinos. They have a shuttle to the Strip and the fair but I would not recommend, especially in summer.
Casino - is owned by Harrah's, and like all others of his casinos, his players in a vacant lot. If you seriously think about your game, look elsewhere.
If games are good and bad situation outside of the Gaza Strip, it's really a great hotel. That was our home for years and still the place where I am in most of my 60 trips to Las Vegas.

The best buffet in Las Vegas. Go on a Saturday or Sund brunch with champagne!
Voodoo Lounge is a place to open a cool drink and sip in the early evening (5pm to go early, do not worry about the insurance, which starts at 8 clock to pay)
Palms is the point of the club. Luna is a very pleasant, the retractable roof!
Rio offers a free shuttle service to / from the Strip, taxis are very expensive, IMO.
If you stay in the Rio Carnival Buffet test, go to their website and find all the information you need. If you live in another city can be easily reached by bus or Caesar Rio Bally ......
